Great Italian Food Runs in Our Family
Michael and Margaret Morrone, Philadelphia transplants who opened this little pizza shop in October in the Winn-Dixie anchored Foxmoor Shopping Center on Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers, before opening a new location on Del Prado Blvd in Cape Coral.
The Morrones owned pizzerias in northeastern Philadelphia before relocating to North Fort Myers. For Morrone’s they transformed a takeout Chinese joint into a surprisingly polished Italian restaurant, serving not just pizza and pasta, but Stromboli, sandwiches and the occasional pork osso bucco with risotto and sautéed green beans.
